show me your...

bridesmaids dresses. My sister and I are having a hell of a time finding anything because we like different styles. I think I need some inspiration to get us back on track!
Thanks!

Re: show me your...

  • i havent made me final decision either... but i'm going with something simple... and something that will compliment everyone in my bridal party.  you can't go wrong with a simple dress for your attendants... you don't want them to be too over the top!  thats your role! :)
  • here our my girls dreses---its the Juliet from J. Crew the color is Dusty Shale and its silk chiffon.  Our wedding is vinatge baseball themed, so I didn't want any of the typical bridesmaids dresses and I wanted the girls to be comfortable, be able to wear the dresses again, and I despise satin. haha

I told my girls they could get any dress, but chose the colour and length.  They all ended up choosing the same dress.  Each of them overlooked it online, but when they tried them on in person, apparently it was each of their favourite!  (I wasn't there, this is just what they told me).

This colour on the internet is barf-worthy.  It's gorgeous in person though!

My maid of honour is having this dress made in navy by a friend of hers:

  • Nukke - who made the fantastically bright purple dress? It looks like an Alfred Angelo dress. My main color is royal purple (think Minnesota Vikings) and I am having a hard time trying to find a color that isn't too dark or lavender.
  • They all chose different styles which I LOVE.  =)

  • Mori Lee #602. This isn't the right color its supposed to be lighter.

I'm feeling too stupid to work out how to post a picture, so here's a link. Hoping I've got this right! http://www.vivienofholloway.com/1950s-Halterneck-Prints/1950s-Halterneck-Pink-Sweetheart-Dress.html

  • I'm a little bit in love with unique vintage. I'm probably getting my shoes from there (because my dress is about 1/8th the price of what I'd budgeted, I'm getting two pairs, pretty heels and funky chucks. Go me and my frivolity.), and maybe a veil too.

Hey!  Yeah, they're alfred angelo.  They have a new colour called "violet" and it's gorgeous in person.  It looks basically like this:

  • Lots of purple BM dresses on this board. :)

Here's a non-pro pic of 3 out of 4 of my girls. They chose their own style floor length dress in eggplant chiffon. I thought they would be too hot, but they all wanted to wear long. Worked out beautifully. No one was sweating.

Here's a close-up of two of the necklines.

  • Hi I'm new to the boards! I am getting married Summer 2011 and just got a steal on bridesmaid dresses AT THE MALL. Charlotte Russe store was having a sale and I found the perfect dresses. Not exactly vintage, but they are definitely unique and can be worn again. Goes to show that sometimes you can find perfect things cheap at random places. (much better in person, btw. color is prettier)

Do think any of your bridesmaids would be interested in selling their dresses? I'm hoping to do the same color for a woodsy fairytale type wedding : )

They sell them on the jCrew site for $49, but only have a few really small sizes left.

Anyway, let me know if they are! We'd be willing to pay $70 for each sizes 4, 6 and 8 or 10 in good condition!

    Thanks,
    Erin
