My invites: work in progress

Hi all, with all the talk of vintage looking invites, I thought I'd share with you all where mine are so far.

I am designing my own,  but I'll probably enlist an actual invite person to help me get them printed (offset or letterpress, something nice). All I have so far is a first draft of the master page itself. Let me know what you think!

Re: My invites: work in progress

  • My only critique is that it looks a little top-heavy...like more is happening up at the top in proportion to the top. Generally it's the other way around.

But you don't have to listen to what I say either, I'm only one person who has nothing to do with your wedding. If you love it, go for it! I think they look gorgeous, and I love that shade of blue. Good job!
  • Top in proportion to the bottom*
  • I love it! It's so elegant. I agree, it kind of look slike it got cut off, but they're really lovely. I've been trying to find a style I like for my 50's inspired invites, I hope I come up with something half as pretty!! What program did you use?

  • I think they look great (assuming the bottom is the same as the top and it was cut off).

The colour is gorgeous, and the font is great.  Nice work!

  • I love the design!  Is your wedding 1950's themed?  The lines remind me a lot of pinstriping.
