Uh huh, that's right! The wedding went off without a hitch. We had a blast.
Flowers were gorgeous. The canopy looked wonderful. Our sole DIY project (window seating assignment display) was a thing to behold. Greeting of the guests, ceremony, everything went exactly as planned (or not ... some things were loosely planned, ha!). The only change to the game plan, made earlier in the day was changing the spot for our photos -- we'd planned to walk to the Annapolis waterfront, but there were waaaaay too many boats docked to make it worthwhile for a shoot. Instead, we took pictures on the grounds of the State Capitol. That ended up giving us time for enjoying the last 20 minutes of the cocktail party with our guests.
There was a torrential storm that threatened, but didn't begin until right after everyone exited the terrace to go into the atrium for dinner. Speeches/toasts were short and sweet. My son's toast brought a tear to quite a few eyes (including H's). Dinner was yummy. Dancing was out of this world!!!!
So now, I have to P&R ... gotta get to bed be bright eyed for my first day of work tomorrow. Yee ha!
I still have to remind myself that I'm married. It was all very surreal. Good times, good times! All of the planning was worth it -- we wanted an elegant affair with close friends and family. Got it. Amen.
