restaurant recs in Maui

Hey ya'll

We are going to Maui for 10 days and will only have a car for 4 of those days, so I want to make good use of it. We are staying in Wailea so when we have the car we would like to venture out a little further one night for dinner. What do you guys reccomend?

We are already going to Mamma's Fish House and the Old Lahaina Luau

Nick's Fishmarket at the Fairmont was one of our favorites.  We stayed at the Fairmont, so we also ate at Ko.  The food was good, but the atmosphrere wasn't great as it was during their renovation and was located where we ate breakfast every morning.  Also, MonkeyPod was off the hotel strip but pretty close by for something more casual and a little less pricey.  I don't know where you are staying, but the Fairmont had a car service that would take you around the area for free and pick you up when dinner was over.

The Gazebo at Napili Shores! We went here for breakfast 2 times and probably would have gone more if we had the time. It was delicious and great location. Just be sure to get there first thing! The line backs up very quickly. 

Kimo's in Lahaina. Awesome awesome awesome burgers.

Merrimans is our favorite on Maui. Get there before sunset!

I loved our meal at Merriman's as well, and yes the sunsets were terrific. Here's a review of the meal:

Although we only ate here for breakfast, I did love Duke's Beach House (I've heard they have a great happy hour selection and it's also prime sunset view watching):

If you like sushi, we went to Sensei in Kapalua twice.  We didn't go to Merriman's and I wish we would have -- the sunset views are supposed to be awesome.  I also didn't know about Mama's Fish House or we would have went there also.  We ate mostly at our hotel except for Sensei.

Stella Blues Cafe has great dinners, smoothies and music.

<div>I just wanted to say that the Old Lahaina Luau is wonderful!  You are going to love it.  We went for our honeymoon last July and the food and atmosphere were great - it was my favorite night while we were there!  Have fun :)</div>
