lace chair sash/runners

So i think i want lace chair sashes and possbily runners but I cant seem to find anything, has anyone run across something that would work. prefereably under 1.00 a chair.

only DIY is something I've found for under $1.00 a chair.  If you buy regular lace by the yard, and then cut it into ribbon strips (maybe 4 or 5 inches wide) and then tie those around chairs... that's the only way I can see it being less than $1.00 a chair. 

Maybe someone else has a better idea.

Thanks. Im actually ordering like 500 yards of lace trim off ebay that I hope will work.. with shipping it was less then 30.00 for 150 chairs worth.. the downside is its only 2.5 inches wide so i hope it looks okay..

I think 2.5 inches is alright!  Are you doing a plain sash or a sash with a bow?

I was thinking of making two big lacy bow sashes for just our chairs (at the sweetheart table) and found some lace on ebay as well.  I'm sure yours will look lovely!

I only thought tying them, how to get the bow to stand stiff? That would be sooo pretty. Im also thinking of spray gluing the ribbon to a piece of black organza i will already have but im not sure if it would take away from the lace or make it look too busy?
