I have never been to the GoM and want to go there for honeymoon, maybe tampa, maybe ft myers, but where else can we go, beach town, doesn't have to be Florida...INEXPENSIVE...when we went to Myrtle Beach we stayed at a hole-in-the-wall, family owned motel and had a ball, wouldn't mind doing that on GoM, but can't really find any...

Hello!! I'm looking for a resort to have a small 20 guests beach wedding. I was thinking st Pete or Clearwater .. Any suggestions??

For HlWolters Doubletree in Redington. It is between Clearwater and St. Pete. I've seen many beach weddings there. It is a great beach on the Gulf and a nice hotel.

For DSeymour If you want activity, like Myrtle Beach, then you want Clearwater, St. Pete Beach, or Fort Myer Beach. Look online, perhaps Tripadvisor, to select a motel, as there are plenty. Look at the reviews. We have stayed at those places, plus quiet Redington, in a variety of little mom n pop places.
