thanks for thinking of me!  it's funny,  I actually found the navy robot fabric a while ago and made my fiance a pair of boxers out of it!   I some leftover, so maybe I can think of a small project for it.

were you able to find the right shade of purple for your napkins?

How funny there was a thread create for Robot Cake, because I was just going to make one!

I found an Etsy/Zazzle store today that has a really cute peacock print I'm thinking about ordering for my fiance for our anniversary and/or incorporating into the wedding somehow. Here it is:

robotcake--yeah, I like this purple fabric.  It's purple and folksy which is right up my alley!  But the pricetag at $15.00 per yard is pretty hefty.

I wish I could find violet toile de jouy.  *sigh*  Alas, I don't live in Europe.





Still though... if my venue has purple linens, I'm not going to bother with this DIY.  The linens will be the wrong purple, surely, but that's ok.    Free/wrong purple is better than expensive/right purple!
