Veil help!

Hey ladies --

I had my heart set on having a cathedral length or chapel-length veil, but my mom doesn't think it will work with the dress. She says it will be too much, but the whole bottom on the dress is silk radzmir with no special detailing, so I don't see why not.

I also love the birdcage veil, but I think it will look terrible with my dress.

Thoughts? Advice? Thank you!

I don't think it will be too much.....since the bottom of the dress is plain, I can't see it being Over the top or anything.  Wear the veil YOU want. Try a few on with your dress if you can, see what you think looks best.

I agree on the birdcage veil though, as much as I love them, I don't see it really "fitting" with this particular dress

Your mom's not getting married.  Wear what you want to wear or you will regret it.

can you show us some chapel length or cathedral length veils you were considering?  I can see maybe a mantilla being too "over the top" or some other veil with lots of detailing, but there's nothing about the length that would clash with the style of your dress.

I love chapel length veils!  How long is the train on yoru dress?  I originally wanted a veil that just peaked beyond my dress train.

I think that a long veil would complement your dress.  The dress is dramatic on top, and it can definitely handle a more dramatic veil like a cathedral veil.  Go for it!

Thank you ladies for all of your input! Talked to mom again, and we both think that 2 layers would be good - one to be chapel-length, and another fingertip length, with a blusher...but I can remove the long layer and blusher after the ceremony and still enjoy the look of a veil. Thank you again!
