Card Box

Hello,

I fell in love with a card box on Etsy, but it's $55.00 + $15.00 shipping. Is this the norm? Or do you have any recs of places I can find something a little more inexpensive?

TIA!

As far as I know, that's kind of the norm. They are that expensive. A lot of gilrs opt for the bird cage instead, don't know how you feel about that. Hopefully other girls have more recs!

Im doing a photo card box. I will be finishing it tonite.  It was pretty easy and not expensive at all.  I got 4 (8x10) frames at the dollar store and put them together with brackets. I found it on project wedding site. Im loving it. GL

I found them all to be way too expensive on Etsy but I fell in love with them.  I cant find anything else that I like either.  I'm going to attempt a DYI this weekend and I'll let you know.  Otherwise I might have to splurge on my Etsy one - I'm not big on the bird cage only because it would clash with everything else~

I just ordered it from etsy :X

If I tried to DIY, I'd get glue all over myself - I'm a mess and not crafty. AT ALL. Geri, I would really like to see your photo card box! That sounds different & very unique :)

    Hi there...

We did the same thing as Geri.. here's the tutorial we followed: http://roadtotheaisle.blogspot.com/2007/09/diy-photo-frame-cardbox.html
I did the math afterward and it came out to about $30. That includes frames, L brackets, screws, foam board, glue, photo prints and lazy susan. The benefit is that we can unscrew the L brackets and reuse the frames now that the wedding is over! And our guests really liked it. :)

It seemed overwhelming, but DH helped and it wasn't so bad. If you do try that, GL! Like you, I tend to get glue all over myself without even trying.. and DH suggested I use gloves. It worked. lol.

And like any other DIY project - be patient with yourself. =)
