HELP! Rehersal Dinner ideas in Fort Laudedale

Any ideas for Rehersal Dinner venues in the fort lauderdale area? All ideas welcome Thanks Ladies!

Depends on your taste, formality, budget, etc.

When we first starting thinking about a RD, i wanted to do on of my favorite sports bar, brus room.  Then, as we started getting into the planning, FI suggested something that shows off south florida, outside/waterfront dining, latin food, etc. I was looking for something on the cheaper end (since budget is out of control).  We then decided we'd have our RH dinner at a Latin restaurant near the hotel.  Then FI heard about another couple that had done a dinner cruise as their RD.  He's like yes! that's what we do!  So I searched and found a yacht that allows BYOB and BYOfood that is a couple miles from our hotel.  so, we have chartered the yacht and will have latin food catered while we sip our adult beverages and cruise the intercoastal.

Did you ever check out actually having the dinner at bru's, like will they actually cater a rehearsal dinner? I love it there and was considering not doing a RD because of the cost and FI doesn't want anything formal that he has to be at....if it was his choice he would wear basketball shorts to the wedding and prob have the wedding at bru's lol I also like the dinner cruise idea.... I'm not too familiar with the ft. Lauderdale area, but I've been trying to find a place for a shower and you'd be surprised how many restaurants will cater private parties. Your best bet is calling or emailing some of your favorites and asking if they have banquet menus for your size party. Places like Buca Di beppo, maggianos, Cheesecake Factory, and outback seem to do this....Of course it most depends on your budget and what type of food/ vibe you are looking for

empiregrl5 - Bru's has a "family" room that can accomodate parties, they also have a catering menu, I beleive. I've heard of folks choosing things off a menu, and making  a "preset" menu to choose from within a price range.  I've done that for baby showers and such.  I also wanted something more laid back for rehearsal dinner - i love my flip flops, so the boat right up my alley.  Let me know if you want my boat info...

Macaroni Grill has 2 course entrees starting at $19pp. They were great for my Rd.
