Writing your own vows?

Are any of your writing your own vows? I am usually very good with words and feelings, but I think because I want it to be so perfect I am struggling in what to say exactly. I know it is best to keep it brief and the vows are a promise to one another. We are writing our vows separately and won't know until the day comes what each of ours are.

For those that are writing your own vows do you have any tips, great reference sites, etc that you can share with me and the other knotties who might be struggling with this?

I am about 3 months out and want to have them completely done within 1 month and a half before the wedding to decrease the stress level!

Thanks ladies ;)

We thought about it but we have decided to take the normal vows and tweak them to us. I am scared to write my own because I dont want to be nervous....I know that there is a place on the knot that will help you with them. I looked at..it was on the main page.

We did and we had the officiant read them...it was awesome..best part of the ceremony in my eyes!

we decided not to although part of me wants to but I feel like you do, i'll want them perfect and never be fully satisfied with them so we're going w/ what the rabbi says. We're having him read our Ketubah Text though which we LOVE and it is so fitting to how we feel about each other. Good Luck
