Seychelles - honeymoon

We are thinking of going to the Seychelles/South Africa for our honeymoon -

Is it safe considering all of the piracy?

Any suggestions on where to stay/what to do?

I replied to your post below. I flew into Jo'burg, but did not spend any time there. We went to Mauritius first, but there are limited direct flights from Jo'burg to the Seychelles on Air Seychelles. It's actually a bit of a long flight- around 4 hours- and somewhat expensive, at least as flights go. We used miles to get to Jo'burg on British Airways (biz class), miles to get to Mauritius on South African Airways, and SPG points to get from Mauritius to the Seychelles. I can't tell you what flights from NY to So Africa run since I flew from PHX, but flights to the Seychelles from Africa were around $900/person. I gave some recs for accommodations in my previous post, but hotels run anywhere from a few hundred a night to thousands per night. We didn't do much while we were there, so not much to comment on in regards to that.
