Vietnamese/American Wedding DJ/MC

My fiance and I are having a multicultural wedding since I am vietnamese and he is half chinese. We will be having both a vietnamese ceremony as well as a westernized ceremony. I am hoping to mix the two cultures in our reception. I am currently looking for a Vietnamese DJ for the reception who is up-to-date on the american music but can also play vietnamese music for the older vietnamese guests. I am also looking for a Vietnamese MC for the vietnamese ceremony. Does anyone have any suggestions on how, where, and from who I can find the DJ and MC? We will be having the wedding(s) in south florida. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi and welcome! It was also important for us to have a DJ that was experienced and knew how to mix different cultures of music. I am Cuban and my fiance is half Persian and we want a mix of Persian, Latin, and regular old American music to be played. We went to a friend's wedding and saw DJ Lindsay from Kenny Mondo in action and he was AWESOME. They were also a multi cultural wedding and he did a phenomenal job at keeping the dance floor packed all night. He would play an American song, a Yugoslavian song, an American song, a Latin song, etc. etc. etc. The friend of ours gave him a CD of the best Yugoslavian music and told him which songs were the "must play" songs. We are doing the same. We gave him a list of Latin songs we want played (which he already has since they are popular), a list of our favorite American dance songs, and we are giving him a CD of Persian music that we want played. I don't think you necessarily need a Vietnamese DJ in order to have this work, you just need an experienced DJ. P.S. Vietnamese food is one of my FAVORITE foods My FI and I love going to Mis Saigon in Coral Gables!

I recently came back from a Wedding in Orange County Los Angeles area and there was a Vietnamese DJ MC and he is Bilingual. He did a terrific job at my girlfriend's wedding. He even has Karaoke in English and Vietnamese...His name is Dewey (DUy) and his # is 657-200-1403
