Signature Grand?

Has anyone heard of or been to the Signature Grand?  I came across this venue doing a search of South Florida reception sites.  The package prices are amazing-so i was hoping to get some more information. Thanks!

Knottie Pats&Adri just got married there on Friday. I guess you could check back next week for reviews.I really liked it and their prices are very reasonable. I realli liked their outdoor ceremony location. It's a very pretty property. Sorry.. that's all the info I have to give. =)

I've been to signature grand. I'm also the nyc bride who's with you on not finding anything. It's not the type of place for a wedding, imo. I had all my middle school and high school conferences/dances/meetings there. It's in the middle of a neighborhood and I don't think it's anything special. It's just a place with a ballroom type of space. Nothing extra special.I can help you since I know Miami like the back of my hand and I've pretty much researched it all. What kind of venue are you looking for?

are you talking about signature grand or signature gardens ?? - patty just had her wedding at the signature gardens (in miami) and I am having my wedding at the signature grand (in ft lauderdale) - i know people have said that they have had dances/proms at these locations but since I didnt really grow up here I have never attended a school dance at these locations. The ballroom is what sold me and of course the price !!

Millenia-I'm looking for anytype of venue that has amazing food; allows me to bring in a DJ/Band and is under $100 pp for a 4-5 hour ceremony.  I was originally looking at the hotels; but they're pricey-i can go with a differnent venue not too far from the hotel/beach area.

It's funny-i just rec'd an e-mail back from Jungle Island-I contacted them over the weekend! Their prices were a little higher than my budget but definetely doable! Where exactly are they located? What area would be best to look at resorts to stay if i had my reception there? Also-on another note a lot of places want you to give your entree selections in advance-i prefer the table side choice of entrees...but now i'm wondering if that is really worth the extra $20pp most places are asking?  What is everyone else doing?

Definitely negotiate with Jungle Island, my venue, look into applying for the prime card to get a discount on food and beverage. Don't rule them out without doing that. Signature Grand is a wonderful place to hold a wedding. They even have a room that they hold the ceremony in, it kinda gives you that church vibe.

Re: Jungle IslandJI is on Watson Island which is between Miami and the Beach.  It's right off of McArthur Causeway.  About where to stay - your guests could stay in the Brickell area, the Beach, or even the Gables.  It's probably about a 20-25 minute drive from any of these areas.  The 2 closest hotels are probably Marriott Biscayne Bay and the Doubletree Grand on Biscayne Bay but the neighborhood is ok (not the greatest for tourists).  If you get the Primecard, you can get 20% off the bill for food and beverage.  Entree selections in advance is cheaper because the venue knows how much food to prepare ahead of time.  It's very common practice to ask guests to choose their entree on the response card.  It's worth saving the $20pp.  HTH and GL

I had many events at Signature Grand in high school and middle school as it is located about 5 minutes away from them! I think it's a nice location, big ballrooms and all, but keep in mind it's located right off of the highway (595). It's a nice place for a wedding, very grand as you can gather from the name. They probably have lower prices primarily because of the location -- it's not really near the water, or any hotels that I can think of, and it's not like it's in a bad area (not even close) but it's not in a great area either -- like I said, it's right off of the highway. But considering you'll spend all of 5 minutes outside -- walking in! -- this is probably a minor detail! If I were invited to a wedding there, I would definitely look forward to it! Hope that helps!
