Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for Kauai?

Re: Kauai

  • Typically we love small, boutique hotels, but we thought the Grand Hyatt was outstanding. The rooms are nice, nothing special, but the grounds, pool, etc. were excellent. We also looked into Koa Kea, which seemed like it would have fewer kids but also very "motely" and the St. Regis, which wasn't in a good location for what we wanted and when we would be traveling. Kauai is amazing nice choice!

  • We stayed the Grand Hyatt in November and loved it!  Depending on the time of year you go a lot of our friends loved the St. Regis in Princeville and we would have stayed there.
  • Grand Hyatt was incredible.
  • Another vote for Grand Hyatt. Amazing hotel with great restaurants!
  • We stayed at grand Hyatt and Princeville resort. Would pick the Hyatt a million times again before picking Princeville! It's worth the splurge!
  • We went through VRBO and got a condo, which is also in the Outrigger Chain. But, renting via an individual owner was the best. Out condo was beautiful and taken care of so well. The price was fantastic. We stayed on the East Coast and it was easy to go anywhere on the island from there. You do need a car. Here is a link to the Condo we rented. The owner was wonderful to work with and you cannot beat the price. 149-159 a night. Full kitchen, two bathrooms, flat screen TV's. One bedroom with a super comfortable King size bed. http://www.vrbo.com/204166
