DOC or Venue planner

Are they the same type of people? where we are having our reception, its a country club and the catering director is in charge of everything and will be there the day of the wedding and all. So she will be I guess you can call it the DOC for the reception site. Do I still need to hire a DOC or would she be considered one?The only thing she wont be at is the ceremony at the church but i believe they have their own person I work with dealing with the church. kinda confused as why everyone hires a DOC.

Depends on the venue planner. I asked mine at the cc and she said she basically is my DOC. So I didn't hire one. My brother married last year and same thing, no DOC at the cc. Just make sure you discuss this with her. I asked my venue planner is she takes care of everything if there is a problem etc. She does. She will have all my vendors information so she can make sure it all goes smoothly. HTH!

mine comes with the same thing - I was told she acts as my DOC day of.

ok thats what I thought, she said she was pretty much my DOC. I just wanted to double check b/c so many people talk about DOC on here. thanks ladies!!

actually im a frenchman's bride. but dont feel lonely, we are all in this for the long run and together.
