Can you look at my Secrets Maroma quote?

This is what our travel agent put together for us...I know a lot of you girls on here have visited here and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't insane!

Any tips for me?

-7 nights
-Comes out to be $2160/pp w/ AI everything
-Preferred Club Junior Suite Swim out (still not sure the PC was worth it, but it wasn't that much more)
-Free honeymoon package with the 7 night stay
-Airport transfers
-Trip Insurance

So total with everything is $4321.00.  She said that with the insurance, the prices will more than likely go down and then we'd get the lowest price.

Does this sound right?

Help!

  • Your price will vary from what others have booked on here for many reasons. The first one is airfare- is that included? Airfare will be different each day and each city of departure. Also, time of year makes a difference in pricing, trip insurance cost varies by supplier, if someone on here caught a special promo, that would affect cost. If you are comfortable with the cost in terms of your budget and you feel you have done the right amount of research, then I recommend just booking!

Goooood call haha...we are coming from Chicago at the end of September.  Seems about right from what I've read on here, just didn't know if anybody recently snagged a killer deal! Thanks!

  • Based on what I have seen on here and my own experience (I flew from PHX), I'd say it's a good deal! I know they are running a promo with resort coupons, so depending on when you are traveling, you may be able to find a package that provides them.

  • We stayed at silversands, but looked at maroma. For the same package you have for maroma, we paid $5600 for 12 days including airfare over christmas and new years. Maroma was a little over $9000. The only difference between a regular room and a preferred club is you get liquor in the preferred mini bar (in your room) in addition to the pop, water, and beer. The preferred club also had free wireless and a continental breakfast i think, but you can get b-fast at the world cafe (which is really good & has everything you could think of). Nothing else is different. If the regular room is a lot cheaper, I would go with that. You can get liquor at any bar on the resort and you get 15 free min of internet in the lobby daily, and really on your honeymoon you dont need constant internet access. Have fun!

  • Ellie that seems about right!  We flew out of MDW to HM at SMB and paid $4300 in Oct 2010 for the exact same package (Jr swimout PC and everything).  We did the price insurance and from when we booked in March '10 to when we HMed, the price dropped $250pp, so final cost was around $3800
