I'm lost..please help

Hi.. I am new to the Knot!! I am completly lost. My MOH just had a baby so she is occupied, so I'm on my own.My wedding will be in March 2010 on a cruise, but getting married in St Thomas Magen's bay!! There's only 7 mths to go. What should I have already??I have already booked my wedding planner in St Thomas so everything is taken care of over there. ex. wedding ceremony & wedding reception.I picked my photog for my engagement pic's. What's next??I have gone once to look for my wedding dress.thanks for any help! When should the STD go out and sending wedding invites??HELP!! thanks

So you are having a reception in SFL but the ceremony is in St. Thomas? You need a location for your reception first thing.  once you have that, you will be able to book your other vendors.

Hi & welcome!!! Glad to have you on the board - give us a bit more info.. are you having any of your wedding in south florida? You may want to check out the destination board on the knot, they'll be extremely helpful!! The STD should be sent out 6 - 12 months ahead of the wedding day.   Happy planning!

Hi ladies..the reception and wedding will be in st thomas. The only reception I am having is the bridal shower in miami. I started looking at banquet and receptions already in miami.definatly have to get on top of the STD.

Welcome!  I'm in the same boat, my MOH just had a baby so I'm on my own to plan.  Considering your wedding is a destination wedding I'd send the STD like, now.  My wedding is Feb 27 and I sent my STDs in June.  Wedding invites probably 3-4 months before.  HTH!  Good luck planning.

For destination you should prob get your STD's out as your next project. The knot actually has this great checklist and timeline of what you need to book and when. It has helped me quite a bit!
