Richard Miller photography great?

My photographer and I clicked but she is sky high ($$) - Richard Miller is offering great prices and I saw a bride jump out of her seat with raves for Richard Miller. Can any other ladies recommend him as well? I don't want to go off of one review alone. Thanks!

    I really like his pictures, as they are very artistic and post processed pictures (he created his very own program to do some of it).  However, I met with him and was not terribly impressed with his albums.  I would have only considered a photos only package.  I also didn't mesh with his personality.  But, I know that a knottie (whose name I can't remember) who got married at the Sundy House used him and was extremely happy with him.

    Maja (his wife) took my epics and my wedding photos and I was extremely happy with all of her work. My wedding album is fantastic. Richard took my boudoir photos, which are towards the end of my bio (there are only a few very tame ones). He is incredibly talented as well - you'd be in great hands with either him or Maja. Maja and I clicked right away - she is so incredibly nice and easy to get along with. I highly highly recommend them.

    I think Muddi is referring to Knottie lisacase. I believe she used Richard Miller for her Sundy House wedding.

    Hi, i've been lurking lately since my baby bother is getting married in jan. I got married in 2007 and they were my favorite vendor. I did all the same pics elistar did and now he and maja take pictures of my twins. i really loved working with them and i adore my pictures. embarassed to say that i still have to pic my pictures for my albulm, so i can't comment on that but i've seen elistar's albulm and it's gorgeous. gl

    I saw my name mentioned and wanted to respond.
    Yes I had a fabulous wedding and Richard Miller took beautiful photographs that everyone loves. 
    However, I have not yet received my albums.  It has been more than a year since I picked the photos. Maja has informed me that there are delays at the album company.  
    I am trying to be being patient but my parents are getting to the end of their rope since it is quite a long delay.

    Richard did my photos recently. I couldn't be happier! He was so nice to work with and the photos are absolutely stunning! I am now getting the pictures together for the album. When I saw Lisa's comment about the album taking so long I called the referals Richard gave me and they all said their albums came in in good time. I also asked Richard about my concerns and he said that in many cases the time frame depends on the client. He said as long as I get back to him in a timely matter to approve the design and don't have to many requests to change things around the process won't be that long. He told me some of his brides will take months to get back to him and then will go back and forth for several more months to make changes to the designs which can prolong the process. So I am thinking maybe there might have been more to the delay... Richard is my favourite vendor and I would hate for him to get a bad rep he doesn't deserve...

    PROCEED WITH GREAT CAUTION!!  See reviews on decidio.com about Richard and Maja.  They may very well be accurate.  We hired Richard and Maja over two years ago for our wedding, we picked our photos for the wedding album a year ago, and we keep being told that there are delays with the printer and this is why we have not received our wedding album.  We are now starting to wake up to the reality that we have made a grave error (by using them to photograph our wedding) because we have been getting the same excuses for months and months now and we may likely never see a wedding album from Richard Miller Photography.  We asked for the name of the printer that was causing this delay so we could follow up ourselves.  No response.  My last conversation with Richard, he could not remember who we were, after numerous calls to him on a regular basis asking for our album.  As of very lately (the last month or so) we have called them a number of times due to our family's frustration, but they seem to have gone M.I.A.  Be very very careful.  I am attempting now to organize an effort amongst people who have used these photographers and are experiencing the same frustration.  Feel free to email us or pass on this email address to anyone having the same problems with Richard Miller Photography - whereisrmphoto@gmail.com.  Thank you.  And good luck!!

    We really enjoyed seeing all of the different styles of images that you provided, black to white, numerous angles and the story that was told with all of your shots. You made us both feel so relaxed on an otherwise stressful day and we really hope to work with you again on any future events.  I will highly recommend you to all friends and family looking for a 1st class photographer for any occasion.  Thank you for being such a professional and now a personal friend.

    I am blown away!!! We felt like movie stars at our wedding and now I am crying just looking at the shots. Out of all of my vendors, I had complete confidence in your ability but I had no idea how emotional I was going to get just looking at my wedding.

    Richard Miller Photography was the best money I spent on my wedding, hands down. He went above and beyond my expectations and I am very picky about how I look in pictures.

    Richard, I just looked at the photos of our wedding on-line. They are fabulous!. I didn't even realize you were taking some of these shots. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the pictures and then when my parents surprised me with the large canvas portrait that you took of me on the cliff in Aruba, it looks like a painting. Thanks so much!

            If you are going to pose as one of my brides and try to trash my name you should have used a wedding date when I was in the country!!!! I was in Sweden on January 1, 2010 so how could I have photographed your wedding from the snow filled mountains of Sweden? Fraud..... yes you most deffinatly are!!!!!

    Hello

    I was searching online to see if other brides have had issues with this photographer and I found this link.

    Though some brides may take a while to pick their photos I was not one of them and it has still been more than a year since I picked my photos and I still havent received my coffee table album.  I picked my photographs in December 2009 and I am still waiting. 

    The pictures are beautiful and Richard has an eye for detail but alas no album still. 
    I see that someone from the company reads this message board which makes me uncomfortable but still I want others to know what they are getting into.

    I would hire this photographer but ONLY for a photo package and would not get my albums done through them.  The photos are beautiful so the disk is all you really need, I just want what I paid for or a refund so I can order the album elsewhere.

    My wedding was in October 2009 and still haven't received my album and I know that I am not going to because Richard and Maja are going through a divorce. Richard actually referred me to one of his other clients who is a lawyer. Her and I have been working together to try and find other brides out there who have not recieved their albums or photo's. Please email me so we can take action together. We can be stronger in numbers. umdavi@hotmail.com

    Richard Miller has stolen my $1000 deposit. No photos, no albums, he never even took our pictures. My deposit got me nothing but a sad pathetic e-mail claiming his wife has cleaned him out and he hasn't eaten in 2 days (boo hoo!). He even had the nerve to give me his wife's phone number and told me to call her to get his stuff back!! Also, the only good reviews on this site are all written by Richard Miller himself, just look at the user name rmillerphoto101 and Alex3003, he even closes them with different names, All posted on 6-10-2010. Please brides to be AVOID this SCAM ARTIST!!!

    did you actually get your album??  we have not and neither maja or richard miller chooses to accept responsibility.  BEWARE!!  Anyone with similar issues please email me at bridewithoutanalbum@gmail.com  I will be contacting the BBB as well as filing a lawsuit to recover the funds paid to these two.  They are using their divorce as an excuse and neither is accepting any responsibility.

    Some people in the same situation as the immediately-preceding posts are moving forward on filing a complaint against Richard Miller, Maja Miller and Richard Miller Photography with the FL State Attorney and Attorney General in the near future.  If you have also been a victim of a breached contract after having engaged their services, please send the following information at your earliest opportunity to either whereisrmphoto@gmail.com or bridewithoutanalbum@gmail.com:

    1.  Name of party who contracted with Richard/Maja Miller;
    2.  Amount you contracted for (price);
    3.  Items/services promised;
    4.  Items/services not yet received;
    5.  Your best contact number;
    6.  Your consent to be copied on all correspondence (not bcc).

    ***CAUTION*** ALL BRIDES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away from this son of a b*tch!!!! This pathetic excuse of a human being has been nothing but a money hungry, unprofessional jerk throughout the last year of dealing with him and his ex-wife. Karma is already at work here. I hope she continues to clean him out for every penny!

    I fired him as my photographer yesterday, and within an hour I contacted and booked a backup I had.

    Just remember, people always get what they deserve, Richard.

    and crazy
    I am wondering if he was on drugs and she left him.  Or if she screwed him up so bad he went insane.  Though conversations I had with both of them were insane.

    Paid $4k 
    had our wedding
    got my disc - thankfully and nice photos
    wife picked photos for the album
    approved final proof
    was told the album was sent to italy

    TWO YEARS  yes people TWO YEARS since then and I have NOTHING
    they were not divoricing when this started.  they just decided to steal from us and taint our wedding.  he tells us he wont give us our albums at all.  

    DONT HIRE MAJA MILLER EITHER

    she is just as guilty
    since she wrote many of the emails to us she is just as guilty.  boo hoo a divorce.  this is your business, you signed a contract FULFILL IT.  
    Maja is just as much to blame.

    THERE ARE 30+ COUPLES IN SAME BOAT.  FULL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY AGAINST RICHARD AND MAJA MILLER ALONG WITH MULTIPLE CIVIL SUITS.  EMAIL ME AT bridewithoutanalbum@gmail.com TO BE ADDED TO OUR LIST!!!  NO ONE HAS ALBUMS!!! SOME DON'T EVEN HAVE PICS.

    I don't know why I'm just waking up or getting upset because i came to the realization we weren't getting an album from Richard when i called him months ago and he cried about his divorce (don't know why that makes  a man stop working) but then my mom said she saw him on the news in Fl last week and his scam with not giving people the albums they paid for. I'm kind of upset at the kmot as well because I used them as my bible and got an email from them about rciahrd milelr and his sumemr discunt...anyway, his work sucked! so I don't know how girls are raving about him but I had  a stunning wedding on the ebach and havenot 1 pic with the ocean or sand behind me on a clear, goregous day! Thank god I got the crappy pics thougha nd only because I begged for a cd and paidd him ane xtra $400 for it - just to get my pics!!! If i didn't do that though, i'd have none of my wedding pics!
    He sucked, he had no personal;ity and his wife was just whatever at the wedding....
    I do want a real album thiugh and otehr photographers start at like $500 just to make you one which is unfair that I pay for it again.
    I'd love to get in on the other 30 couples this happened to..just sent an email to the emaila ddress gioven above. Hope to hear back soon!
