Biltmore Brides?

I met with the Biltmore yesterday and they were very nice.  Debra told me that there is a huge team that takes care of every detail of my reception.  I am having the ceremony at a church. So I was wondering do I need a DOC?

    I hired a full on planner. I was planning on just a DOC, but found someone that was about the same price for the same price. Bruce and my catering director told me the same thing. In my opinion, yes. And this goes for any place, not just the Biltmore. And the simple reason is this, anyone that works at the Biltmore, works for the Biltmore. When you hire a planner or a DOC, they work for you. I hired Vanessa Oppo from Karma Goddess. She's not that popular on these boards, but she has been amazing so far. She does everything from full planning to DOC (with a team). There are also some great recs on these boards. What room will your reception be? My ceremony is on the back lawn, cocktail hour on the center terrace and reception in the Granada Ballroom. Look at linens today...so much fun!

    Thanks. I thought the same thing, about the DOC being on my side.  I met with Debra and she said that a DOC would be a good idea.   Your ceremony is going to be beautiful on the back lawn :)  I choose the Alhambra room.  I loved both rooms and it was hard to choose.  They have gorgeous linens, I saw some of them yesterday.  I think you and I may be the only Biltmore brides lol, maybe we'll see eachother one day.

    What's your date? There's another Biltmore Bride on here (Bea). She is getting married 2/13/2010. We are 10/10/2010. I love the Alhambra room! We liked that one better, but the back lawn and center terrace are tied to Granada. However, if we were getting married in a church, we would have chosen Alhambra. Bea is also in the Alhambra. Let me know if you need anything. So far, I've done video, photo & officiant. Just now getting started on Linens, flowers and DJ. Bea has been a great help to me as well, because she is a step ahead of me.

    Thank you I would love your help.  My wedding is May 1, 2010 and all I have done is my church and my dress and the biltmore lol.  I have so much to do.  You're doing great though you're really ahead.  I'll  look for bea in case she can also help me with stuff.  Let me know who you finally choose for your linens and how the experience was.
