We have invited 119 and our guest list is capped at 120 by our venue.I noticed that most of you invited way more people that you are expecting.  Can I ask why?  And, what if all the people you invited end up RSVPing yes?  If I need 120 at our wedding, how many do I need to invite?It just feels weird to me to invite a lot more people than we need to.  How do you get away with that?

Ana, the reason I'm not expecting as many as I invited is because 85-90% of my guest list is out of town including people from other countries but especially those in Matt's family (which is HUGE) who all live in CA who may not be able to afford to come to Miami for the wedding. If they surprise us and ARE able to come... awesome... I'd be happy to have them all there. I didn't invite a single person I wouldn't want there... it's just that I know that unfortunately many won't be able to make it.

We invited about 135 and had 90 attend.  Alot of our OOTers just couldn't afford it:-(

We invited 175. 160 confirmed. We had all of our "single" people confirm HTH!

inviting 180 but probably only 120-130 will come - we have a lot of ooters
