Outside Wedding?

Do you girls think it would be wise for me to use a tent for our wedding. Its just so damn expensive but the wedding is in Key West and its in May. i dont live in FL so if you ladies wouldnt mind giving me your may rain opinions that would be awsome!

If you're going to have the wedding in May most venues will give you a quote for a backup tent. If you use it you pay for it if you don't your good. HTH! PS- Where is your venue?

I have to rent my own :( It does have an 8 day cancellation policy so I have that to back me up. It would just figure that I would get a tent and its sunny and vice versa. We are getting married at Southernmost Resort in Key west :)

Gotcha. Well May weather is pretty nuts. I will tell you that it doesn't rain in the Keys as much as Miami. PS- I'm an Islamorada Bride.

May can be pretty rainy. I think this past May broke a record. I love the tent idea, but you may also want to employ a back up idea.

I got married in March, and the probability of rain was very low.  And guess what - it F-ing rained!  I didn't plan at all for plan B (and how to decorate for plan B).  I am still kicking my butt for it.May is the beginging of the official rainy season.  I would absolutely 100% rent the tent.

Oh no, that was my day after shoot.  Thank you though.Yeah, as long as you can cancel once you have a decent forecast, you should be ok.My coordinator said that a 30% chance of rain is their cut off for plan B.

We're getting married in June at the Little White House. We are renting a tent as a back up but can cancel three days prior. FI went back 10 years and found out (A) the highest temp was 86 degrees, averaging 83 and the last time it rained on our date was 2005 so I'm really hoping we can cancel our tent!I suggest shopping around for another vendor to see if anyone has a shorter cancellation policy.GL!
