DIY invites

I was thinking of DIY invites using the pocket folds, with a layer of black behind the white paper all with in the pocket fold. but wasn't sure if the paper inside needed to be cardstock or regular paper? Any suggestions or anyone who has done these what did you use for each type of paper and all. Sorry if confusing.

    I got all my cardstock from cardsandpockets.com, they made it super easy for me, but you can go to their website and see what they recommend for the pocketfolds , i found them to be very helpful.
