Dinner options question

We are having our tasting soon and started to pick out some of the food from the list and come to find out at the end we only get 1 choice for the entree. So our guests won't be able to choose what they want we choose and thats it. Now I have only been to weddings that I got to choose like from a meat and a fish. What are you girls doing at your weddings anyone just having one entree? Thanks!

We were going to have a combo plate but instead chose to have choice of chicken, meat or fish (plus a veggie choice) - but I have been to weddings where I was served with no choice. Not uncommon! :)

We are doing a buffet. But I don't think it is uncommon to just pick one item, I would just stick to some sort of chicken since it seems like the thing most likely everyone will eat since some people don't like or are allergic to fish and some people don't eat red meat. I do like the dual entree option if your venue is willing to do that.

Yea I was hoping to do the combination plate but its a whole different package that is alot more :(And FMIL says chicken is a no it has to be beef and she is paying :/ I think I'm just going to tell my guest that if for whatever reason they don't eat beef to let me know and I'll arange for them to get a fish or something.

I'm doing one meal. At the weddings i've been to i've always had just one meal. Chicken is the safe choice in case some don't eat meat. Depending on my budget i'll choose whether i want meat or chicken to be served.

I can't really talk - we have seven choices for our entrees. I agree with the girls, though - one dinner choice is more than normal.
