Rehearsal dinner at Sergio's. Yum!

I've posted before that I'd love to have a rehearsal dinner. I miss Miami food. I miss cuban food. I'd love to share that with our parents and wedding party... and I'm definitely on a budget.Would it be tacky (please be honest) to have a rehearsal dinner at Sergios? I mean, my sister is all princessy and prissy (she'd probably mind - but oh well) - we just can't afford something huge and don't want to be in debt.Honestly - Would you be a little disappointed going there for dinner? My sister had a 90K wedding and she couldn't even afford a RH herself.  But I'm really trying to.I think I might nix significant bridal party gifts for this dinnerThanks!

I have never been there, I looked at the menu though and I think it would be fine. I think it is more important to have time to spend together before the wedding than the food you are eating.

I freaking LOVE Sergio's.  The food is so darn good (and you get to appreciate it more when you're far from Miami).  I don't see a problem with it, but you might want to look into other Cuban places--Casa Larios is slightly nicer, I think and the food is pretty good.  I can't remember if it's a lot more expensive than Sergio's though.Have you looked into Casa Larios?

If you're in Kendall.. I like Bario Latino. They serve awesome cuban food, mexican, and other great latin food at great prices.

We'll be rehearsing at my venue on the beach so if I take my out-of-towners and hike it all the way to Kendall, they'll be exhausted!  But thanks - let me look into it anyway.

I like the idea. Personally, I love Shorty's BBQ and have gotten FI's Cuban parents hooked on it. I'm trying to convince them to have it there. Casual, Fun & CHEAP!!!
