free gifts with registry

Has anyone gotten free stuff after they registered for certain products? We registered for both Henckel and Calphalon and we've gotten free knives. One paring from Henckel and one Santoku from Calphalon! You have to understand these have made me so happy since I only owned 1 crappy knife and now I can slice things without beating the cutting board. I never knew things could this easy!

I'm assuming these are from our BB&B registry because they were the ones who told us we qualified for it. Our consultant at the store told us he would fill out the required form. So, Jaime call and check if they've done that.Wow Sara, you're bringing in loads of goodies!

Mine all came from Macy's, and I notified our lady there when we had fulfilled what we needed for the freebies :)Jaime....it took a while for us to get these....like weeks! I'm still getting stuff.

How do we go about this? I did all of my registries online. Our Macy's one has a program where we get money back. Is it like that?

I know the Macy's program is only for those who have a cc with them. For BB&B they have a sheet of all the things you can get when you register. Some rules may be you have to register for up to $500 of something. The gifts change too, so we registered in May and now they may have something different. It might be best if you go in person and ask.I wasn't aware of any other stuff. At C&B we got a free heart shaped bowl right then and there.

At Macy's, you have to ask a bridal consultant for the forms you need.  They have a booklet that tells you the free gifts you can register for.  You dont need the credit card for this, but the cc does give you points and a gift cards for each item than is purchased.  Hth!

Day-um! My mom actually signed us up for our Macy's registry haha. She bought us dishes for when we first got engaged and she has the macy's cc. Lots of mulah coming our way. I had no idea about these awesome presents. I am going on Friday to BBB and Macys to get more. I sound so f*cking greedy!

For Macy's you do not have to have a credit card for the "freebies." Those are based on a required dollar amount that you register for in each brand category. We qualified for everything but the Martha Stewart, Vera Wang, and Waterford registries, so we got about 11 "freebies" in the mail. They took about 4-6 weeks. They are great! Love the vases, serving spoons, serving platter, serving bowl, knife, luggage tags, etc... The gift that is required by having a Macy's credit card is there reward program. You make a percentage off of all of your gifts purchased off of your registry. DH and I just received a gift card from Macy's for 273.00 Monday in the mail. That money is ours to spend at Macy's b/c of our guests who purchased off of of registry. Macy's registring process and reward process was very user friendly and they followed through on all of their agreements as far as everything is considered. We enjoyed our registry and all of our gifts from Macy's.
