what do i do - beach wedding

my husband and i are having our vow renewals on the beach in Feb. were planning on either going barefoot, or in sandals. but my main concern is ... after the ceremony, and after weve taken pictures, what do you do about all the sand on your feet and on your dress?? my wedding dress has many layers, and is NOT easy to just lift up. and what about all of my guests?

2 words: baby  powderworks wonders on getting the sand off :-)Sure you'll have white powdery feet, but that's my suggestion.

How about little hand towels in your colors for guests to use? Or what about putting a platform to walk down and to stand on?

I think the platform thing is a great idea... I also like the baby powder AND towel ideas as well!

I've seen people use little buckets at the entrance to the reception with little paintbrushes for guests to dust their feet off.

Yes! I was just going to say that! Little metal pails with big wooden paintbrushes to brush them off is super cute... you can decorate the brushes with ribbon or something. I saw a picture like this a couple of days ago.

Totally do the paintbrush thing, MrsLicata. It sounds adorable and functional all at the same time!
