RD Help

Hello Ladies, I have a question...for the RD, would my FI and I need to pay for our entire wedding party and parents or would it be really rude to ask from them to pay their way at dinner and then surprise each of them with a nice gift? I love my wedding party but we are allocating areas of our budget to more priority areas and we have a huge wedding party. Thoughts? Thanks! I think traditionally the groom's side pays for the RD. Instead of asking people to pay they way, maybe you can do something very casual. E.g. get a couple of pizzas or grill out at a park or something. It's really just a time for you and those close to you to spend a little bit of time together without the craziness of the wedding day. Good luck!

If you're having a RD then it should be free to the guests. As a guest I would find it rude if I had to pay, since I spent so much in the wedding party. To make it more cost effective for you, do something more casual. I spent less than $300 to feed 30 people and we all had a great time. It's all about thanking them and sharing that time together before the big day. HTH!

You definitely don't want to ask them to pay.  Try to find a casual, laid back alternative that won't break the bank.

I found it really inexpensive to do a cookout. We rented a pavilion at a park in Boca for $15 and my bro in law offered to grill. It will be under $200 and we'll be able to see every one. My fi is a big baseball guy so were asking everyone to wear a baseball shirt.
