Hrrrm."Hrrm" is the sound Yoda makes when he's thinking.Alors! I love my colour palette (burgundy, gold, with accents of ivory, pale pink and brown). But as I have been updating my bio (look under "Palette & Inspiration), and looking at inspiration boards, I'm liking the colour palette of teal, black & ivory or teal & silver more and more. The ceremony's in a gold room. Teal on my bridesmaids is going to clash with the room like Belina with her Monique dress and this board. Should I consider changing colours? This is just me wondering out loud, I reckon. I could use those colours for my bridal shower in order to get it out of my system, no? Yis.Okay, now a real question! What comes first, the shoes or the gown?I have found the shoes I want. My mum says I should hold it until I have the dress. My credit card whines inside my wallet begging to be used. What to do?And finally I leave you with this MSN jewel:Prongs says: (10:51:10 PM)plus if i wear a short skirt to dance my mother will sacrifice me on the wedding cake table.stephanie says: (10:51:12 PM)lol of courseProngs says: (10:51:24 PM)and then there will be cannibalism at my weddingProngs says: (10:51:30 PM)and that is SO not ideal.stephanie says: (10:51:37 PM)LMAO

I agree with your Mom - find your dress first...then buy the shoes...

I don't think that teal will necessarily clash with gold.  It just won't be as modern as silver/gray with teal.  Isn't the room decorated in a more vintage fashion?  Perhaps you can try a deeper teal for the BMs dresses, like medium to darker.  That should make a rich palette.Shoes, dress, dress comes first.Short skirt to dance, my mother's not sacrificing me on the wedding cake table once she saw the dress.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!:::kneeling and screaming into the heavens:::!Your palette is perfect for The Breakers...It reminds me of Joanne's (Latinachica) palette...which is equally amazing. http://doylewedding.weebly.com/inspiration.htmlThe breakers has a lot of ornate gold in the reception rooms and it would compliment your current palette way better. Mind you, I'm a bit biased cause it reminds me of my own, and I love the idea of burgundy, gold and pink! You could use the teal for the shower or rehearsal dinner!!Phew...glad I got that out!As for the shoes, I agree...wait till you find the dress. Once you order it, then go for it!

I'm all for teal! I agree with ana, pick the right tone of teal. You have the lights that are almost aqua and the dark teal. I ♡ teal! I bleed teal! (dolphins fan, marlins fan, and teal was my school color) I think teal and gold looks good too. Very modern. You can also used pearls too, if that's your thing.

Ursula & Joanne (LatinaChica): LOL, girls, I'll stick to my original colours, not to worry. I'm going for the teal & silver for my bridal shower, I think that's best. I'm too attached to my original palette, plus Ursula's right, it works wonders with The Breakers :3Ursula, do you have a bio? I'd love to see your invites! And yeah, mommy knows best. Dress first. So nervous!

I think your original colors work better with your venue - the golds and warm tones really mesh beautifully with the breakers

I am not a pink girl at all and I say stick with your colors. I remember when you put up pics of the breakers and said your palette, I was thinking... PERFECT. It couldn't look more amazing for your venue. "Don't stop believing". Also, yeah, dress first then shoes. You don't know what color it will be.
