Online Knotties

So, reading the answers on a recent poll I saw that quite a few knotties met online. Fi & I met on Myspace, but we knew a lot of mutual people and even frequented the same places just never noticed each other until Myspace. Fi hates to tell people that we met on Myspace.Do you or your Fi mind telling people that you met online?

    Well that was my situation with my FI. We met online because we thought each of us looked familar and it was because we had alot of mutual friends. But he doesnt really mind, neither do I. You would be surprised how many people meet online now, I think its become something really common and less tabu.

    In the begining it was embarassing mostly b/c back then (2004) was before things like match.com and eharmony and online dating in general was common. Now it seems like everyone I know has tried match.com.But everyone knows how we met online and it is what it is. I was embarrased by it at first but hey... if not for myspace we would never have met. He was living in NY... we had NO reason to cross paths. Myspace was the vehicle that brought us together. (Story in bio)

    OMG! My FI and I met on Myspace LOL. And he hates to tell people that too... I really dont care because is it any better meeting someone at a bar?Funny thing is, we talked for almost a year online before we actual met each other.

    nane24 I'm not embarrased at all. I agree that now lots and lots more people meet online. yhfoxtrot I read your story a while back and at the time felt better to know another knottie who met her Fi on Myspace as well ;)oh, and I totally agree it is what it is! sarahne Fi and I didn't meet in person until about 9 months after meeting online. I used to call him my online boyfriend lol

    UGH - I HATE saying we met online. He doesn't mind at all. We met on mate1.com I was so embarrassed, that I initially lied to family and friends about where we met : /

    My FI and I met online too...through "facethejury" so yea, its embarrassing haha

    Okay, so I just went to facethejury.com for the first time in like 6 years....we met before it was a raunchy "dating" site!!  It was just a place to post you picture and people would rate you haha.  I will not tell people we met on this site anymore because it is gross now.

    I met mine on Match.com.... my friend met her man on match and she recommended I try it. I was embarrassed, but met Justin.... she married her man last year, and I'm marrying mine in January!
