Dress Shopping??

The thing I'm looking forward to most is going dress shopping! I have been looking online at different designers so that when I go in I have an idea of what I want to look at. I did go once to a shop in Boynton with a friend to see what styles looked good on me and thank goodness I didn't fall in love with one! So I know it's still WAYYY to early for me to go and buy one but my question is how soon in advance is a good time to go and try them on to make a decision?Also did you girls look online before going in and have styles in mind or did you go in blind I guess you could say?TIA!

    I don't think it is too far in advance for you to go. Once you have your venue and you know the time and formality of your wedding, I think it is fine to go shopping. When I was there they tried to tell me it takes 4 months to come in and 2 for alterations, I think that is just to pressure you but still I would like to order my dress by the 6 month mark. I didn't really have a lot of ideas but I did pick some I liked online and showed them and they picked similiar ones. The first time I went I tried to pick a few styles to see what I liked. I am going again this weekend, so hopefully I will find something.

    I'm in a similar predicament. I haven't picked a date, but looking at Feb/Mar of 2011 which seems so far away! I probably will be looking as soon as I book the venue and yes, I have gone online and have styles in mind... though I'm sure they will change when I try them on! :)

    my wedding is 11/27/2010, over a year away still, and i'm buying my dress next weekend. i've spent 2 months trying on dresses. i don't think it's too early for you, i want enough time to be able to have ANYTHING go wrong and not be stressed trying to fix it. :) and looking is always fun online, just make sure you stop looking once you pick a dress!     Thanks so much ladies! I'll  probably wait til early next year because I'm hoping to lose some weight before then!
