Sandals Antigua

We are thinking about going to the Sandals resort in Antigua for our honeymoon.  The pictures and information from the travel agent seem great, but when we started reading reviews online there was quite a wide range of opinions.  Does anyone know anything about this resort or has anyone been there that has some feedback?  Thanks!!

We stayed there in November. Our only complaint was with our room. We were "upgraded" to a Honeymoon Luxury Concierge room. The room was dated, which was fine, but the hot water in our sink barely worked, the ceiling was wet over the toilet and would occassionally drip, our safe was broken, and just a few other things that we weren't expecting. We also never received the honeymoon package, so we were pretty miffed about that.

The grounds there were absolutely gorgeous though. We didn't care too much about the problems with our room because we were never in it. The beach is great, the vendors are a little annoying, but they leave when you tell them no thank you. We also enjoyed the restaurants, OK Corrall and the sushi place at Kimonos were our favorites.

It was really a great resort. The mediterranean side looked really nice; we chose to stay on the caribbean side for the more authentic caribbean feel. While I definitely wish our room was nicer, I still recommend the resort. Antigua is a beautiful island.

If you do go, we did 3 tours - the shopping trip to St Johns (we only did this because it was kind of rainy one morning, the x-treme circumnavigation tour around the entire island, and zipling. The shopping was ok, but the other two tours were phenomenal and I highly recommend them.

We just came back from SGA this week.  It was a nice time, but in general, I think there are other resorts than Sandals that will give you better quality and service for less money.  If you want my full review, PM me and I'd be happy to send you the review I submitted to Trip Advisor or answer specific questions.

Im going there on my honeymoon in April!  I've also heard mixed reviews!!!  We are staying in the MonteCarlo Oceanview  Honeymoon suite in the Med Village. Can you pelase send me your trip advisor review?? Thanks!

I am going on my honeymoon there in April also, we are getting married April 16th and will be arriving there on April 19th.  We are also staying in the Monte Carlo Oceanview suite in the Med village.  When in April are you going to be there?

My wedding is April 17. We are leaving to go there on April 19 as well!!!
