Wedding Band or DJ?

Hello everyone,, Well im debating wheather to have a live band small in my wedding it's in the afternoon,  since i probably wont have alots of dancing (60 guest) i wanted to have some sort of entertaining & i thought a small band would be great,, what do you think?? Wedding its outdoor (ceremony and reception)

I think a small live band is great!! My wedding is the same size as yours, but I can't afford a band since they tend to be more expensive than a DJ. But if you are able to find a band you love at a price you can afford, I think that would be awesome!! I think live music gives a party such a fun vibe and I only wish I could have it at mine!! (though I expect Vision DJ's to rock the party as well!!)

Agree with PP - live bands tend to be a bit more expensive but add a fun element. I bet you will get a better rate on a band b/c your wedding is in the afternoon.I have my band info in my bio.

I've seen them from $4000 all the way to $15,00

It depends on what you value more: practicality or fun. I personally think bands have a more ... uppity? feel to it. DJs are so practical (and fun! I had one for my grad party, he was cheap and awesome!), but bands have that touch of class I'm having both at my wedding, but because The Breakers kinda made me, and they threw in the DJ for a very good price. So ... I'd say band if it's in your budget! There are very good ones out there.

i love a good band, and you can probably get a good deal for an afternoon wedding. DJs are also nice because they are cost effective, and if you're like my DH and I, we had reeeally specific songs we wanted to hear.

I love my band - pure energy through mike sipes entertainment. for dj I have heard EXCELLENT things about visions DJ, liquid dj and dj ubi :)Hope this helps ya!
