our florist is leaving =(

So I'm all about signs... I had had doubts about our florist (mainly price) and it turns out he just let my planner offically know that he is closing up shop and take care of personal issues. Lucikly I didn't put any deposit or anything yet. So I'm out looking for florist now. I have a call out to Gil Sosa and no call back yet. I want simple settings for flowers only for reception with but with budget of $800. Any recs?

I guess everything happens for a reason and at least you had put no deposit. I'm sure you will find someone soon. I spent somewhat like budget with Landy's Flowers by Gerardo and got 9 CP's, 1 Bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 2 altar arrangements, boutts. and corsages. Full review in my Bio.Good luck,

Ditto to Landy's by Gerardo. I just did bouquets. I told him how much I wanted to spend and what I wanted, and he hit it perfectly. And the flowers were beautiful.

I second Vivian Colls! I met with her a couple of weeks ago and I wad so impressed. She totally understood what I want even though I wasn' t even sure what I wanted. She helped me come up with ways to save money and didn' t try to push any extras on me, which I really appreciated. And her quote was great!

I second Terra flowers... I got a quote from them, I think they can work with that budget. Also, got a quote from Flowers by Luenzo, they should be able to work with that budget too.

I used Gail at Floral Promotions 1 800-424-8106, they are located in Plantation. (www.floralpromotions.com is their website) - go to shop albums if you want to see some of their work.  I told her my budget and I told her what I was looking for.  I tried working with field of flowers because I figured that they would be easier to work with since they were a chain and they probably did this a lot, I spent three weeks calling and leaving messages at two different stores and emailing several people.  I finally got three call backs (all in the same day) and got three VERY different prices all for the same EXACT order.  I was very miffed.  Gail cares that this is YOUR day and she will make the time to talk to you if you are not in the state to come into the shop, that was a huge deal to me.  A lot of floral places wouldn't deal with me because I was OOT and couldn't come in to play with the flowers or discuss them in person. Gail communicated with me via email, sent me pictures, and let me look at the gallery and tell her just what I wanted.  She sent me a quote and everything.  No pressure at all.  She was fantastic.  Plus she offered the less expensive route at first.  I wish all vendors were like this.
