I don't think there is a difference between the two. Some places call them Bridal regs, and other stores call them Wedding regs. However, I know that for my bridal showers, I received all of our towels, kitchen stuff, and tons of bar stuff (during the co-ed one) so I would make sure to have those items on their first.

I think wedding and bridal registry are the same thing. Try using the knot's registry checklist for possible things to add to your registry. Hope this helps :)

maybe they refer to the bridal registry as things that can be registered for for the wedding? for instance, FI and i registered last wknd at macy's, and some of the items like our champagne flutes and cake cutting set, will be used at the actual wedding. we also might register for a cake stand. we figured they are items that maybe close family members might get for us for the bridal shower. just a guess (?)
