speed bumps on the ring?

That's what I call them.Has anyone put little like bumps in the band to make your ring more secure instead of getting it resized?I got my ring Monday after being without it for 3 weeks and they put these bumps so my ring stops turning on my finger. I couldn't get it resized or it wouldn't go over my knuckle.Anyway, it kinda hurts and I'm going to ask that they smooth them down some. ouch.Maybe I'll take a pic to show you what I mean.

I have those.  My knuckle is bigger than the bottom of my finger, so if they fit the ring to my knuckle it will be huge on my finger...if they fit it to my finger it will be too small to get it on.  It does kind of hurt when I try to take off my ring and I have to use water to help take it off...because of this I almost never take off my ring.  I'm hoping when I get the wedding band it might help...I've been told having both helps the ring stay on and balanced.  I'll find out next month...then I'll decide on my resizing options.I don't mind the bumps...they only bother me if I take the ring off.

I'm considering getting those put on mine!  Can you send me a pic?  No store I've talked to seems to have a sample I can see.Does it help prevent the ring from turning?  That's my main problem...I'm not worried about it coming off or anything.

I put them in mine because my ring kept sliding. They have helped dramatically, my ring fits so much better now. Its better to do this then to get the ring resized bc you can have them taken out and its way less of a process than expanding it. They dont bother me much.

I was very curious about what these "bumps" are.  Here is a forum post about them.  I think the bridge looks a little more comfortable.  http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=76529
