Need help deciding between 2!

Our travel agent has given us 2 all inclusive choices for our honeymoon that we are interested in. The choices are P. Cana Excellence resort OR Sandals St. Lucia.  We want good food, night life, and a great room.  Does anyone have advice!?? We are going to July 2011

  • do you mean night life at the resort or off? i've not been to st lucia but I have been to PC adn there's nothing.
did you make this point clear to TA?

  • I stayed at the Sandals in St.Lucia. The food is amazing, and there was always something going on at night.  My sister went to P Cana and she had a great time.  However, she said she couldn't wait to go to the airport to eat.  The food wasn't that great.
  • I haven't been to either, but I would check out Trip Advisor. They tend to have TONS of reviews on hotels/resorts. HTH! =]
  • We just stayed at excellence p*nta Cana for our first anniversary in August and loved it!   The food and service were excellent.    we only got a basic room which was very nice, and I heard their suites are very nice as well.     They have many differnet restautants and we enjoyed all of them and thought they were all very good.

As for night life...they do have shows every night, some that are very good and others that were not, and there is a casino that is open every night and a night club.   the night club was dead the night we went to it, but the entire resort was pretty empty the week we were there, so not sure how it is during a more popular time of the year.   Your only options for night life would be within the resort because it is pretty far off the beaten path in PC.     There is lots to do, it is just a matter of how crowded the resort is for things to be really hopping I guess.
  • I was in PC a couple of years ago it was amazing but there really isnt a night life however we stayed at a different resort than the one your looking at.  As far as the food goes its very native so if your picky eaters you might not like it.  I dont know anything about sandals.
