All Inclusive Honeymoon on a budget?

We are getting married in October and are looking to go somewhere all-inclusive. Anywhere but Mexico, we have been there numerous times for weddings and vacation and are looking for somewhere different. We are looking to spend about 3,000 or less in total including airfare, food, drinks, etc. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Re: All Inclusive Honeymoon on a budget?

  • When do you want to book by?  We live in Chicago and keep seeing a ton of good deals on Travelzoo for beach AIs.  If you waited a bit; you could go for somehting like that?

  • try a travel agency may be able get a great deal. mostly likely the package will include some honeymoon perks also.. couples massages, roses, intimate dinner or breakfast...

also do you know anyone with timeshare...thats can also be cost effective..
  • Check out Groupon or LIving Social - you can grab great getaways for great prices. Just make sure you read the fine print and check the reviews and contact the location before you buy! My fiance and I booked 12 nights all inclusive to FIJI with a Groupon for 3,000!! :)

For your budget and time, somewhere in the Dominican Republic might be perfect for you.  We spent 5 nights at Excellence for $2400 in October.  October is the shoulder season so you should be able to get a good deal in your price range for that time period.  I booked the resort in May on Expedia and waited until August for airfare to come down and booked directly with the airline.

<div>My fiance and i are getting married December 2013, and were considering looking at Groupon options for a honeymoon as well. I know the Groupon Getaways tend to have strict sets of dates to book by and stay by. How early did you start looking at the deals? And were they able to add-on any "honeymoon perks" to the Groupon deal when you booked the stay??</div><div>
    </div><div>Thanks for your help! :)</div>
