Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya anywhere south of Canun basically. Very nice beaches and less noisy.

And they are very affordable!  I would recommend looking at resorts in playa del carmen on trip advisor and seeing which ones suit your budget and personality.  They list all of them.  Also, Playa del Carmen in a great location, you are in between Cancun (loud and noisy and touristy) and the Mayan Ruins of Tulum.  You are also right where the ferry docks to bring you to Cozumel.  Really nice central area so you can do a lot of stuff.  Beautiful too!

We just booked our Mexico honeymoon.

We'll be staying at a 4 star all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen and the cost was less than $2k (not including our excursions).  I have a coworker who travels to Playa del Carmen frequently.  He highly recommended the area!

My fiance and I are staying at an all inclusive resort called Playacar Palace! It has a ton of activities to do, great rooms, and great food! It's def. worth looking into.

One of my personal favorites in Mexico is Secrets Silversands. It’s located in the Riviera Maya about 15 miles south of Cancun. Besides being all-inclusive, this resort is also adults-only and has great amenities, a modern chic design and awesome food.

The resort also offers a beautiful beach and gorgeous pools. This is definitely the place to go if you want to relax and enjoy some sun. However, you can also tap into your adventurous side by taking on the resort’s great activities such as sailing, kayaking and snorkeling.

I have been to other all inclusives, but really enjoyed Secrets because the staff made me feel right at home. Have a great getaway!
