Bridal Shower

So FI and I have been together 3 years now and we have been living together fine. Now the girls are asking if i would like to have a Bridal Shower as much as I would LOVE too I just dont see it right since we have been living together for so long and what not. The other difficult part is that not everyone from Tampa including my BM would be able to make it to the Bridal Shower if it gets hosted in Miami and I really dont see the need for two of them.  What do you ladies think?

    Its up to you whether you want it or not, but I say have one, doesnt mean you need to get stuff for the house. Im sure there could be something you can find you need or will need in the future, as well as you can always do a honeymoon registry or have the girls do a shower w/o the gifts.

    I totally agree with PP. I have been living with FI since Sep 2007 but my mom is throwing me a bridal shower on Saturday. I registered for things we needed + new things + fun things :) If they offered to throw it, I say go for it!

    Oh and FI and I have been living together for the past 5 years, I don't need a lot of things since we have stuff, but I sure can find things either Ive been wanting or will need that I don't have. =)

    Eh, don't think about the gifts. Think about a special get-together with your family and friends. It should be really fun for them to plan and really fun for you to attend. I say go ahead!

    I agree with Millenia. The gifts are secondary. Think about what a good time you'll have with all your girls!

    I think you should consider having one. I wasn't open to the idea at first, but as the wedding got closer, I changed my mind into wanting one. It was a very nice time (and fun!) between my MOH, BMs, closest friends and closest women in the family.  Regarding gifts, my girls made it a spa and lingerie theme, so I was showered with items that you can never have too much of.  I didn't register for anything so any one gift I was given was a total surprise.  It's more fun that way.Hopefully you can work out a date when all your BMs will be present.
