FUN!!!!!!!!!!!1. First Name & FI's First name and wedding date?Jaime & Matt - January 23, 20102. Where did you go to college?I went to UM - GO CANES, He went to Hunter College in NY3. What part of the world do you live in?Sunny Isles Beach, FL4. How did you and FI Meet?I have the full story (short version) in my bio but basically we met on MYSPACE back in 2004! We had a mutual friend on there and he wrote me a note because we had a lot in common and we started emailing back and forth for a few months. HE was living in NY and I was in Miami so we never thought anything would happen but we finally met when I was up in NY for NYE and we totally hit it off! He started coming to visit me in Miami and after a few months we decided we had to be together so he moved to Miami!!! 5. How long have you been together?It will be 5 years in December. Wow. 6. Do you live together? Why or why not?Yes. When he moved here he moved in with me. That was a big leap of faith considering we had only known each other a short time but it was one of those things where when you know, you just know. So after some debate, I let him move in with me rather than making him get his own place and I'm so glad I did! 7. How did FI propose?Again, story in Bio (with pics) But he proposed to me on a Gondola Ride in Venice Italy last December. It was pretty much the most romantic and picture perfect proposal. Esp since we never discussed marriage or went ring shopping! 8. How long of an engagement are you having/did you have? Why?Just over a year. I knew I wanted to get married in the winter here in Miami so as soon as we got home from Europe I started planning. I didn't want to be engaged for 2 years so I knew it had to be Winter 2010. We chose the date we did b/c it didn't conflict with all the stuff going on in town like Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, Festivals, Holidays, Spring Break etc. and with all the OOT guests we wants flights and hotel rooms to be affordable!9. Favorite wedding vendor so far?This is hard. I'm going to say Ashley Colhouer because she is the vendor I have worked most closely with at this point and I just loved her so much. Our Engagement pictures were incredible and she was just so amazing to work with.10. Biggest piece of wedding advice you can share so far?EVERYTHING is negotiable. Everything! Meet with a few vendors before making decisions and do your research so you can be confident with your choices and knowing that you picked someone who fits your budget, stlye and can help see your vision through. But negotiate. Always. 11. What do you do for a career? What does FI do?I am an Executive Recruiter and my Fiance works for me! 12. Do you think you could be/will ever be a stay at home mama?Could be yes - will be no. I always thought I wouldnt' want to be but that's a lie! I wish I could work by CHOICE only... that woudl be amazing! Luckily because I own my business we can work from home though so that will allow me to sort of be a stay at home working mom. 13. Do you want children? Any potential names yet?Absolutely! I would like 2 or 3. I have some names I love but nothing for sure.14. Do you have any pets? Names?No but I want a dog more than anything. I can't have one where I currently live. My sister has my dog from growing up. Her name is sweetie.15. Do you have any siblings?Yes. An older sister. 16. What is your favorite food?Soup and Sammiches. Oh and Pizza. I love me some pizza. Oh and French Fries from BK. Those are yum city.17. What is your favorite movie?I have sooo many I couldn't name just one. Ok if I had to name just one, The neverending story. 18. What is your favorite drink? (Alcohol and Non-Alcohol)I drink a lot of tea and diet coke. For alcohol, I love Mojitos, Sangria, and Vodka Tonic.19. What is the hardest part of wedding plans for you?Staying Sane!! Honestly, chosing certain vendors was really hard. Especially a photographer and a florist. Those almost killed me. 20. Where are you honeymooning?Antigua! Hemitage Bay and Sandals Grande! 21. What is the best thing you learned on The Knot?Everything! But what I have taken from the knot that is more valueable than anything are some incredible friendships. Seriously. 22. What's one city you would love to live in for a year?NYC. 23. What do you love most about your FI?EVERYTHING! But that he's one of the most generous, kind, honest and loving souls I've ever known. Like a truly stand up guy. He's also hilarious, and makes me laugh and smile more than anyone. He's a gem. I'm a very lucky girl! 24. If you have an extra $5000 to put towards your wedding only, what would you spend it on?I'd put it towards helping me pay for my honeymoon. 25. What is one silly thing about you?Everything about me is silly. If you've met me, you know this. 26. What Knottie wedding would you love to attend?ALL of them. But I think aside from the two I'm fortunate enough to be attending, I'd say I'd love to go to Courtney, Jillian, Tina and Farahs' weddings. 27. What is something you learned from The Knot that you never heard of prior?Dollar Dance. Never heard of that before. 28. What other Knottie boards do you visit?Mostly just this one but I look at the Jewish Weddings board sometimes, and the honeymoon board and that's about it. 29. Describe yourself in 3 words.Loyal, Sensistive, Fun30. What else do you want to share??That I love the Knot so much It's GHEY!
