I left RK Bridal crying today

I've been several times b/c I second guessed my first choice wedding dress so I went back and started from zero. The first time a lady helped me, she was great. Twice I have returned after that and those ruthless ladies at RK don't want to help me b/c they know it's the other lady's commission. I don't give 5 sh*ts who's commission it is.  It seems like once you are a come-back customer, they don't care for you if someone else helped you the first time. I picked out 5 dresses that I hated, the lady just rushed me out of the fitting room and told me to hurry up and get dressed, that she had another bride behind me. She left me in the room with my panty hose on waiting and about to break out into tears. I was baffled with how I was treated.I complained to the owner, she didn't seem to care too much.So upset. I feel like I'll never find my dress because they didn't care to help me out and choose dresses that are good for my figure and style I want. I still haven't calmed down and I left there at 6:30p. Just fed up

We went there to try on BM dresses and the service was terrible. They pushed me to try on dresses and were so mean! Sorry you had to deal with that. I'm in Miami now but I'll be home soon if you want company to go shopping. :)

OMG that's awful. Don't they realize how important this is for us brides? Obviously they don't care. That's really bad customer service. I'd encourage you to write some reviews about this experience to warn other brides. Don't be discouraged keep looking and you'll find someone who will take the time to help you find THE ONE. P.S. I owe you an email....

So sorry you had to deal with their sh$t! Why is it that women who work in bridal shops are so bitchy? Have you tried any other shops? You will find one that will be more than happy to help you find your dream dress. Don't worry!

Thanks, guys. Ugh - I feel sort of helpless with this. I don't know what's right for me Danielle, that would be awesome. I just don't know where else to go. I'd be open to going back if I can make an appt with the original associate. Ugh, I'd be negative going in there though. Thanks for offering.Jaim - Whenever you can :)Lyn - I usually go by myself but this time, my friend wanted to come with me. She's really awesome and really tried to uplift me

Oh babe that really sucks. DO NOT GO BACK THERE! Not even with the other associate. I think you just have bad vibes now plus you would have to go back to get it etc. Find somewhere where they will treat you like a princess!

Kleinfeld's has some dresses in the 1.5-3K range. Bridal Reflections in LI is really good too... We'll find some awesome places and your dream dress. :)

Yay! Ok, I'm glad that you know b/c I sure have no clue :)Hmm...I think Bridal reflections works. Is that the one in New Hyde Park? D, how come you're in Miami (just visiting)? Where are you staying?

aww i'm so sorry this happened to you =/ i can't say it hasn't happened to me before. i've definitely been left by myself in the fitting room at a couple of bridal shops i went to, and it's like, how do i get this gown on by myself? so rude. i had to call my sister in to help me get it on/zip it up/etc.i 100% agree w/ PP, go somewhere else, fast. crappy customer service=they don't deserve your money.

dang it! that is so awful...I agree with pinkshoes ..what is up with the bitchy women at Bridal shops?? I encountered my share of them while shopping for my dress too. They should be happy they are getting business. If I were in NYC I would try Kleinfield..partly because I have been sooooo obsessed with "Say Yes to the Dress" LOL..Ive seen girls on the show go in with a 2 or 3k budget and they usually find something for them. I would try somewhere else...but if you are getting a good deal there and really love the dress then go back with your associate. This really sucks to hear b/c my Mom and I were going to go there in November to look for her dress.

OMG thats awful! I can't believe how some of these companies don't put the customer first and give them the attention they deserve. You don't need them, I'm sure your dream dress is out there, screw them!

Danielle have you ever been to Bridal Reflections? When I was up in NY I called them to make an appt and they wanted a CC #. I asked why because I thought that was insanity. Apparently if you cancel... they charge you $50!!

Yeah Tessie, they do that at a LOT of NY places. So you'll keep your appointment and not blow it off. If you tell them you're flying in for your appointment and depending on air traffic, you may be late - they won't charge you if you miss. Kleinfeld's didn't charge me! ;)

def time to go somewhere else, you can always find the dress you love at another store and order online with RK for the discount - that is if you still want to give those azzholes any of your $$

Its horrible how someone can post things online that are not true. I was in the store with this bride getting measured for my gown when she came to the front and complained. Talk about bridezilla. I was also in the bridal area when she was trying on. The person helping her could not have been nicer, she was rude and overly demanding even for a bride. At the front of the store the owner and the other girls in the front spoke to her and asked her if she wanted to try on more they would get someone else to help her, again she got an attitude. This bride needs a time out . I got my gown and bridesmaids dresses there and saved money. She needs to go to Kleinfelds and really get mistreated, then she will crawl back to RK.

You were being measured for your gown? And your bio says you were married in 2000? Really?.. Judging by your past posts pimping RK bridal I'd say you're a vendor..
  • edited December 2011
HA!!! vendor!!!Please!! You were NOT there because NO ONE asked me if I wanted to try more dresses on. They SUGGESTED I come back after I make an appointment. YEA, SURE!!!! I will really come back to a terribly managed store. Get some more employees to deal with the rush and MAYBE I'll think about it.How miraculous how in a city as huge as NYC, you know exactly my situation. What perfect timing you have!
  • edited December 2011
OOOOOOOOOOOOO vendor burn!!! I will make sure none of my NY friends ever go into RK. No one should be treated the way she was treated especially when you're looking for business!

millenia - sorry to hear about your bad experience. The awesome news is RK is now feeling the repercussions bc they went to far as to post on this board to try and call you out!! I DIED laughing when I read that post from Gilda or whoever -- I mean, what are the chances of them being there at the same time as you -- AND them logging onto the SFL boards and reading this post. So hilarious! Your review means even more after that vendor reply. Get the word out - Yelp, Yahoo local, etc.
