NWR: What to do?

don't mean to be a post whore today, but i need your advice! I told some of you this already sorry if it's repetitive! few weeks ago, I was going out of town for work and called a cab to take me to the airport. Told them i'd pay with my card because i didn't have cash. When it was time to pay, credit card machine wasn't working; so i promised to pay him back when i got back. Sure enough, when i came back, i called him to come pick up his cash. Now dude won't stop harassing me. Talking about he's said that he won't get to be my FI cuz i obviously already have one...he called 3 times this morning already even after i told him to stop calling! I don't know what to do? I am freaking out. This psycho knows where i live! Mom said to report him to his cab company but it's his own cab! what should i do?! TIA

Crazy and creepy. Call your cell phone company and see if they will block the number. I also am concerned that he has your address since he dropped you off - I would be careful not to come home late at night or by yourself. If he keeps calling, or if you see this creep by your home, I'd make a report with the police asap.

I think you should have him blocked too but also give him a fair warning perhaps and if he doesn't take it, call the police. Tell him your fiance is angry and he needs to stop calling you. If he calls or anything again, CALL THE COPS! And definitely be sure to lock the doors at night etc. Jess I'm not going to lie, I"m concerned.

wow. what a nightmare. i really hope he stops calling you.  i agree with pp. try to have him blocked (all the numbers he calls from).     hopefully he can take a hint. if not, have FI or another male take the next call. but please be safe and keep a record of how many times he calls and if he leaves any messages keep those too.  you can call the police and make a complaint but they can't do anything until he does something other than just call you. the system sucks that way.

Jess, first off it might be his "own cab" but it should be under a company. Metro, yellow etc. You can still call them. If not... what the hell were you thinking getting into a cab that isn't legit? I would call the police and let them know about the harrassing phone calls and that he knows where you live. They can take a police report. I wouldn't wait until he calls again. When/if he does call again, you can tell him that the police know he is harassing you and there is a report and restraining order. Fib... he won't know the difference. Hopefully that will scare him off. I wouldn't block his number until after you told him that information because it might make him want to stop by if he can't get a hold of you via phone ya know? And... good f*cking luck with this crazy man. Make sure you look around before getting out of your car and going into your house. I don't mean to scare you but you need to make sure of your surroundings. He could be harmless for all we know but you don't want to take the chance right?

Wow, Jess. I seriously concerned about this. I think the next time he calls, you should give him one last warning to stop calling you. Let him know you're really uncomfortable with this and that if he continues to call, you're going to take the next measure. I would seriously call the police if he continues calling. Please be careful.... and what does your FI say??? Does he know???

Go to police you def. need to have this on file...god forbid if something happens. Btw cellphone companies do not block phone numbers. Make sure to record the time and date of every phone call. pls be safe, carry spray with you and just be extra aware of your surroundings.

FYI about pepper spray... a lot of the popo come around the hotel and they say pepper spray is the worst thing for a girl to carry. Any bit of wind and it can end up spraying you in the face and making it harder for you to get away.

So sorry to hear this has happened to you. I agree with all the girls suggestions. Please be careful! I once had a problem like this when I worked for a bank and a guy would hang around til after the bank closed and would be by my car in the parking lot. How I solved the problem? I told him that I used to be a man and if he was down with being with a guy....lmao. of course, not true but he never came back again. My co-worker even told me that he closed out his always-empty checking account. Just a suggestion. LOL! By the way, I really think we are twin souls...I am also using Alain Martinez for photography. He was one of the first vendors I booked when we got engaged in March. He is absolutely amazing. Great choice! I am also getting a Martina Liana gown. Freaky!!!! Great minds think alike! saw this online. Jess, I am really worried about this. Please please please call the cops :( What can my local phone company do if I am receiving harassing calls? If the calls are frequent or particularly threatening, the phone company can set up a "Trap" on your phone line. The Trap allows the phone company to determine the telephone number from which the harassing calls originate. You must keep a log noting the time and date the harassing calls are received. Traps are usually set up for no more than two weeks. The phone company does not charge a fee for Traps. A phone company service called Call Trace may also be able to help track down harassing calls. Immediately after receiving a harassing call, you enter the code *57 on your phone and the call is automatically traced (1157 on rotary phones). Call Trace is easier than using a Trap since the customer does not have to keep a phone log. But Call Trace technology works only within the local service area. (Look in the "Customer Guide" section of the phone book or the phone company's web site for a description of your local service area.) Call Trace must be set up in advance by the individual receiving harassing calls, and it requires a fee for use. However, in situations where the phone company would ordinarily use a Trap, you might not be charged if the phone company suggests that Call Trace be used as an alternative. Be sure to ask. The information collected from Call Trace or from a Trap is turned over to law enforcement personnel, not the customer. Law enforcement officers try to stop the harassing calls by either warning or arresting the harasser. With both Call Trace and a Trap, your phone conversations are not listened to or recorded by the phone company.

Jess a little late repling to your post. But I am concerned..I agree with pp. Please if he calls again warn him that the cops know about him harrassing you and the cell phone company is moitoring your calls. If he calls again call the police right away. There is a lot of crazy people out there..lock your doors and always focus on your surroundings.. GL
