hi ladies :)I'm just so excited and had to share... I am involved with a program at work called Reading Stars and it started today.I was assigned a student with reading difficulties. I'll work with her once a week until the end of the school year to improve her reading.My student is Anala... she's SO adorable. She's in 5th grade. I tested her today and she seems to be at a 2nd-3rd grade reading level. After we were done testing, we talked (and talked and talked). She was so fun and silly and outgoing. She made us a handshake and told me were are sisters.After the session, the principal told me she is VERY shy and she's glad we got paired up.I almost cried. I have a new best friend. It made me realize that with all the crap in the world and the insanity in our lives... if you just take the time to talk to a 5th grader, it's actually quite simple
