Miami wedding in May

Hello knotties!  I am planning a wedding at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden on May 22nd.  So far, I have the location, an officiant, a coordinator, a dress, invitations, hotels for guests, and I hired Ubi's Music as the DJ though I am not sure that it will be Ubi himself.  Any word on which of Ubi's other DJ's I should request?  Any other ideas for the following areas? I am still working on a caterer, photographer, lighting/decor, ceremony musicians, and rehearsal dinner location.  I live in CA and would love the inside scoop into South Beach.alenaschabes@hotmail.com

    Hi and welcome! I live in NC, so this board has been very helpful to me! Ubi is my DJ as well and I'm doing my lighting through him. I'm using Stephanie Sokol for photography ( I LOVE THIS WOMAN). I will likely have my rehearsal brunch at the Marriott SOBE. HTH!

    Hi & welcome!!! Sounds like you have the major things booked, great job!!! Photographer - I'm using Stephanie Sokol, she's amazing!!! I also love the word of DB Images, Crystal Fielding, Lux Images, Gregory Paul and Maloman. Lighting/Decor - I'm using Vision DJs for uplighting and Forget Me Not Flowershop for flowers. Ceremony - I'm using Master Musicians (a piano player and a sax player). Good luck!

    Catering I've heard good things about amelia and carmen Photography I am using jessica or beyouimages.com Lighting u can use ubi as well he has packages Hth

    Yeah another MBBG bride! Our wedding is the 26 of June! LEt me know what you need..I have everything set up already except a florist! By the way just so you know you will need a valet company..If you want more info just let me know..Congrats

    Yeah!!!  Venue triplettes :) Which hotels are you using?  I am getting married in Early march and gave up on miami beach hotels.  :( I would reccomend my caterer b/c they  cook on site, but they don't have a website for you to check out since you are out of town.  For music I am using an acoustic guitar for ceremony and cocktail hour and my photographer is a little new and bad about updating his blogs but I love his work.(At least they would all be familiar with your venue!)All my info (except valet)  is in my bio, feel free to look

    Welcome! i was a long distance bride too so these ladies are incredible. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Lux Images, they take incredible pictures. JillianLL and jssoto82 have their stunning e-pics in their bios, and my married pics are in my bio. Ubi did my lighting and it was flawless.

    I am also not so saavy with this site so i couldn't find the detailed info about your wedding.  But I did notice that we are doing the EXACT same thing at the Garden.  Please do tell me about the details.  I am probably going to rent a tent for outside the Banyan room in case of rain.  Are you doing that too?  Maybe not cuz its March.

    I would LOVE more info.  I thought that MBBG only allows you to use Gold Star Valet.  What are you doing for decor?
