Wedding Party is out!!

So today my MOH who hasn't been really supportive since I became engaged tells me she is unable to attend my wedding. She is unable to attend due to everything she has going on at home since she has two kids and is moving. I am really over the non-supportive women! My fiance and I talked it over and we are completely cutting our wedding party and will just have our daughters as flower girls.

Am I the first person to deal with this? Instead of being supportive everyone was more concerned about what they would do when they get married.  SMH.

  • Don't stress it, it happens to all of us. My best friends dropped out of my bridal party 6 months before the wedding (we've since made up and she's still attending) and I actually had to kick my cousin out the next month (non supportive isn't the word: she didn't attend our e-party, didn't even know what dress they were wearing, knew nothing of the wedding, didn't attend my shower and turns out won't even be attending the wedding...because of "finals"). No worries, everything happens for a reason and I am more than ecstatic about my bridal party. It all worked out for the best.

  • Wow...that really stinks.  Sorry that you had to go through that.  I avoided any drama by not having a bridal party for my first wedding.  This time our children are the wedding party.  Since we each have a boy and a girl, they pair off perfectly.  Easy peasy.  Good luck!

  • Oooh, while it sucks your MOH hasnt been supportive of you, I dont think its the right move to then kick out ALL of your wedding party. Just have who you now have, if you then told the others oh sorry we dont want you in our wedding party now, it could really offend them and it could mean they dont even attend or even perhaps end their friendship with you or your FI!
