Suggestion for a dance floor?

We are having a backyard reception and are trying to come up with an inexpensive way to have a dance floor. Any suggestions? Maybe build our own?
If we go through the rental company we are looking at $390 for a 12x12.

Ive seen people buy the wood at homedept...not sure but i think you can buy it in the demension you need and then varnish it...it would probably be a lot cheaper...
