Give me tips for a Hawaii honeymoon!

I think we've decided on Hawaii in late August or September for our honeymoon. We want to do 2 weeks and go to at least two islands (flying into one and out of the other probably) but we can't decide where to go or stay! Help! :) 

We're looking into vacation rentals but are also open to hotel/resorts or a combination of both. Do you have any tips for us?  Which island is your favorite and why?  Activity-wise we want to do some pretty hiking and exploring, rent some bikes and explore that way, and also surfing.  We mostly want to relax by the beach though.

    Im at work, working on this now. From what I told its better to fly out to Hawaii on a week day. We are thinking of doing Kauai- 3 nights at the St Regis and 2nights in Maui @ Sheraton or Westin, trying to figure out the whole lfight thing.

    I have been to Oahu; it is beautiful I highly reccomend going there.  We were able to climb up Diamond Head which gives you a beautiful view of the island. There is also Waikiki beach and good shopping within a close proximity.  From what I heard Kuai is beautiful as well! I don't think you can go wrong whichever island you go to !     I gave Kaila tons of tips for Maui. We have a timeshare there so I have been a few times. Maui I think would be the best for what you want to do because it's the least developed island. Email me if you want specifics. zobo410 at yahoo
