i've lurked on the knot for a while since getting engaged in february but never introduced myself here so hi everybody i'm excited to start planning but don't know how soon that'll be, because our wedding is set for may 2014. any suggestions on when i should really start?

Welcome ladies!!! We're happy to have you join us, these girls are the greatest at advice!! Oh and Mrsincredible02- it's never too early to start planning!! LOL!! I started with my venue and dress because the venues book up fast around here and the dress was my favorite part!! have fun!!

Congrats and welcome to the board. Like Katie mentioned, it's never too early to start planning so I would suggest to start doing your research. However, before anything, talk to you FI and set a budget and go from there. Start off looking at potential wedding venues first. My venue was booked every Saturday in the months of October and November and I still wasn't close to the year mark of my wedding date. After venue, then I would check out photography.

Hello all, I have been lurking for awhile. I was engaged on Nov 12 last year and we have our wedding date set for Dec 15th  2012. 

We are having our ceremony at Bethesda By the Sea in Palm Beach, FL and are right now looking at renting the West Palm Beach Lake Pavilion... Not much else has been figured out.lol

Im so excited to start planning! We live in Fort Lauderdale, got engaged in Key West last Friday and we are getting married in Key Largo next May! This is my second wedding so we are going for a small, intimate wedding with around 50-60 people. I am so excited to plan the perfect wedding to start our perfect marriage together! Hopefully I can help bring to the board any help with Fort Lauderdale or the Keys!
