Anybody else trying to come up with ways to raise a little extra money for the never ending Money Pit that is our wedding??

My story is the plan I had for my wedding budget fell through.. My family had some money to help me, but my nephew needed surgery, which of course is more important... so now... my 7K budget is less than 4. Unfortunatley, I had already picked my venue and made a deposit... so I am looking for ways to raise about 1K. I have cut so many corners and I will make most of it work... just wondering on ideas to raise some money.

I am planning on selling cupcakes at my work. $1.00 each... we have about $500 employees and I'm hoping my cafeteria will let me sell them there... if not, maybe just sell them from my desk.

I have gathered a lot of my stuff and I am having a garage sale next week to purge what I don't need and don't consider trash.

Any other ideas are appreciated! Love to you all!

Are you good at any kind of crafts? You can become an etsy seller.

If you old clothes, try a thrift store, but the cupcakes idea sounds like it could fly. Good luck!

hmmmm....good idea. if you have old clothes, plato's closet buys them.  Lynette's idea is good as well.  I told a friend about how I DIYed my engagement party invites and she told someone who had me do invites for him and thats extra $$ other than that i have no idea!! good thought though

Hadn't even thought of being an Etsy! Great idea! I did all my invites and stuff, and have good connections, so I could charge cheap and still make money. You ladies ordered all your stuff yet? lol jk.... kinda.

the girls had great ideas! also look to see if there is anything you guys have that you don't use or need anymore that you can sell on ebay or craigs list
